Description:

Clay brick

The mineral composition of clay brick is mainly kaolinite and 6% to 7% of impurities (potassium, sodium, calcium, titanium, iron oxides). Clay brick firing process is the continuous decomposition of kaolinite water loss to generate mullite (3AL2O3-2SIO2) crystallization process. S102 and AL2O3 in clay bricks form eutectic low melting point silicates with impurities during firing, surrounding the mullite crystals. The refractoriness of clay bricks is comparable to that of silica bricks, up to 1690~1730°C, but the load softening temperature is more than 200°C lower than that of silica bricks. Because the clay brick contains high refractoriness of mullite crystals, but also contains nearly half of the low melting point amorphous glass phase. In the clay refractory bricks according to the use of division, mainly have a blast furnace with clay refractory bricks, hot blast furnace with clay refractory bricks, carbon roasting kiln clay refractory bricks, bottom air hole clay bricks.
